ABOUT PROJECT MW
The person
behind the project.
Real life. Complicated feelings. No perfect answers.
01 / THE PERSON
I've always written.
I just never called myself a musician.
I've been writing for as long as I can remember — lyrics, poems, fragments, ideas and stories. Music has always been close to me, even though I never mastered an instrument myself.
Project MW became a way to finally bring those words to life.
Some songs are rooted directly in my own life. Cecilia, for example, grew out of letters written between me and Cecilia when I was younger. Many of my songs begin somewhere real.
But not all of them do. And that's just as important.
Even when a song isn't based on something that actually happened, I put something of myself into it — my own feelings, thoughts, experiences or perspective.
The story doesn't always have to be true for the feeling to be.
02 / THE CREATION
AI is part of the process.
It isn't the author.
Project MW uses AI as part of the creative process, but the music isn't generated and simply accepted as it comes.
I compose, direct and shape the songs myself — often with very specific ideas about melody, arrangement, instrumentation, dynamics and emotion. I even sing melodies into the process when I need to communicate exactly what I'm hearing in my head.
I also work in a DAW, arranging, editing and refining the music much like any other producer would.
AI is a tool in the studio.
The creative decisions are mine.
03 / THE SOUND
No fixed formula.
There are recurring elements in Project MW — cinematic textures, emotional songwriting, electronic details and, sometimes, a violin that finds its way into the arrangement.
But there are no rules saying what a Project MW song has to sound like.
The music can be intimate, dark, ironic, cinematic, electronic, raw or unexpectedly simple.
The song decides what it needs.
